What’s Your MO?: A Dance & Fitness Studio in North Hollywood

Welcome to North Hollywood’s newest Dance and Fitness Studio! Over twenty years ago Dajana and Marlyn met in Berlin, Germany while Marlyn was on tour with a show called De La Guarda and a life long friendship blossomed. Their love for dance and fitness became a shared passion. They always dreamed of partnering one day and creating a new and different Dance and Fitness experience. Marlyn's expertise in Dance and Fitness, coupled with Dajana’s success opening and managing fitness studios became the foundation for M.O. Dance and Fitness.

Our Dance Classes

M.O. Dance and Fitness offers a diverse array of dance styles catering to every taste and skill level. Train with our dynamic choreographers and teachers to unleash your creative expression. Our classes include:

  • Brazilian Funk: Brazilian Funk is a beginner - intermediate dance class focusing on choreography, lower body movements, and Brazilian Vibes. This class will have you shaking your Bunda! All levels welcomed.

  • Tour Prep: Tour Prep with Victor Rojas! In Tour Prep, we will explore the different techniques and tools needed for a successful touring career. Performance, Style, Stamina, Presence, and pure Star confidence.

  • Jazz Funk: This Class is a Full Body experience. Preparing the body to dance and have full range of motion. The warm up consist of stretch, strengthening, conditioning, cardio and a dance combo. Anthony Prides himself on creating a safe space for Dancers to learn and enjoy themselves.

  • Break Dance: A complete class of fundamentals and breaking routine, Flipz will teach a routine he has used in films, with celebrities, and even won him International World Championships. 

  • Heels: This is is a Beg - Int level dance class, focusing on Style, Dance techniques, Fluidity and Feminine Movement. You will learn, how to twirl, toss your hair and strut in Heels.

  • Commercial Street: Noel Bajandas’ "Commercial Street" class includes House, Hip Hop, Freestyle, Funk, Latin, Whacking & Street Jazz, all with the goal of getting students to understand what it takes to truly become a stylized & well rounded performer.

  • Hip Hop: This is is taught by legendary choreographer and dancer Richard swoop. This class will take you through legendary choreography and 90’s, 2000s original hip hop vibe! Hip hop dance not only offers physical benefits but also serves as a creative and enjoyable way to stay active and fit.

  • Salsa & Mambo: Salsa and mambo are both popular Latin dances with rhythmic movements and vibrant styles. This class is an introduction to Salsa and Mambo ON2 NY Style. Concentrating on all the fundamentals including timing, footwork, partner work, body movement and syllabus vocabulary.

Our Fitness Classes

M.O. Dance and Fitness is not just about dance—it’s a haven for fitness enthusiasts too. The studio boasts an array of fitness classes that go beyond traditional workouts. Enjoy these classes at our studio:

  • Re-Band Method: This class is exclusive to M.O. Dance and Fitness studio and it’s our most popular fitness class. The Re-Band method classes offer various workouts curated to focus on toning, strength, balance and stability for a full-body workout, using resistance bands and gravity in a unique and effective way.

  • Pilates Sculpt: This is a full body low impact sculpt class focusing on toning, strengthening and lengthening the entire body using your own body weight, bands and DB. All movements include breath work to activate deeper muscle groups. All levels welcome.

  • Mat Pilates: This is a full body low impact sculpt class focusing strengthening the body, especially the core muscles, while also improving flexibility and overall body awareness. In our Mat Pilates class, we'll do various exercises that engage your core muscles, lower back, hips, and glutes. 

  • HIIT HOP Fitness: This dynamic HIIT & strength based workout format uses weights and bands to sculpt your body to the beat of Hip Hop Tracks. 

  • Booty and Abs: Our booty and abs workout strengthens, tones, and defines your booty and ab muscles through a variety of exercises doing squats, twists, lunges, leg raises, glute bridges, planks and much more. We’ll use bands, DB and your own body weight for this class.

Our studio space is ideal for productions, commercials, and private classes. The space is designed to accommodate a variety of creative projects. The studio’s versatile environment is an ideal backdrop for creative projects, providing ample room and adaptable settings to bring visions to life. Our studio is equipped with sprung flooring.
